It's Monday 9:40am here in Australia and I'm wasting time on the net while I wait to snag places in my University course... it's very competitive to get the tutorials you want! On impulse last year I applied to go to the University of Newcastle to study B Teaching/B Design and Technology - it was a good move. It's a four year long course, the last semester will be field work. That means I'll be teaching secondary students Woodwork, Metalwork, Multimedia and Textiles. Thankfully because I've been working hard in the last two years, I'll be able to pay most of my fees and other university expenses... so by luck or maybe just destiny it was meant to all fall into place. Must admit though going back to study has my nerves rattled - I haven't written an essay in two years!
As it appears my life is cheery, it pains many Australians to see what has happened in Victoria. Luckily no one in my family was hurt in the tragic events, however two of my Dad's cousins came close... Andrew lost his house/cabin and all of his possessions. While Mandy was able to escape from the savage fire front with her children to come back and discover her house was one out of three left standing. Incredible!
Back to you guys here! I'd like to say how very thankful I am for the support you've shown to my artwork. I'm very sorry if I was late to reply to a comment or have not yet written back - as many of you know the messages can overwhelm us. So to all my hoochies out there - THANK YOU!
